You know what this makes me think of? In more general terms, the fact that some of us like playing on the monkey bars while others hate it. If you say: "I've taken on this new job where I have to do stuff that I have never done before." some people think "That's scary, are you crazy?" while others feel: "Wow, that's exciting!" Now when I look at the kind of work I do (I'm in the wow-that's-exciting-camp) and the kind of people I work with (many in the that's-scary-camp) I wonder: Am I actually the right kind of person to get them excited? Or will I just scare them all the more, because they see that I can't relate very well to their fear? They see me do some crazy monkey bar stunts and think: "Oh my god, is she going to ask us to do the same???" Do you ever see yourself in a similar situation?
